Set Photo File Path

This dialog allows you to specify where photos, fingerprints, and signature files are stored.  Usually this location is where the associated IDC file is located, and is a folder with the same name as the IDC file, but ending with ~~~.

If you change the location, please note that photo files etc. that were in the original location will not be automatically moved to the new location.  This will have to performed manually.

This dialog also indicated if the full path to the photo file folder is saved in the database.  Normally only the file name is stored unless this feature is activated during creation of the database.

Prior to version 5.30 the data stored in the database only reflected where the files were stored.  If the location is changed then the database will be updated to reflect the change when a file is updated.

From V5.30 onwards, the database controls where the photo files for a badge are located.  The path in the database will be used to locate the files for the badge even if the default photo path is changed.  For new badges the path stored in the database will be that set for the default in this dialog.

Therefore, if full paths are stored in the database, and the user wishes to relocate all photos, then it is not enough to change the photo path in this dialog.  It will also be necessary to change the paths stored in the database, using an external database management program.  The folders and files themselves will still need to be moved manually.
