Log Operations

When the Log Operations check box is checked, operations performed by the program will be written to an ASCII text file called BB32.TXT.  This file will continue to grow while logging is turned on and it is up to the user to manage the file size externally to the program.

The contents of the file can be used for any purpose the user wishes.  The file is the source of information for the built-in, optional reporting package.  For more information on this feature, see the Reports chapter.

The specification for the format of this file is available separately.

Technical Note
You can make the program start up with logging activated regardless of the last setting of the menu logging switch, by including the text “/LOG” on the command line.  This is done in Windows™  by right-clicking on the Badging shortcut, choosing Properties-Shortcut, and adding the above text to the Target field.  As a result, the command line might appear as:

C:\Program Files\Badging\Badge\BB32.EXE /LOG
