Entering A User Name

The ID badge software has a multi-level user name and password system that allows access to different functions of the program.  If you installed the security key the status bar of the program indicates that you are currently in Browse Mode.  If you did not install the key then the program will be in Demo Mode.  In this case, the user name entry toolbar icon will not be available, so skip this section.

To enter a new user name perform the following steps:

1.  Click on the tool bar User Name  button

2.  Enter the word “MASTER” as the user name.  As before do not enter the quotes

3.  Press the TAB key and the text entry cursor will move to the password box

4.  Enter the word “IDCARD”.  Again no quotes and all you will see are asterisks

5.  Click on the OK button

You will notice that many more of the tool bar buttons have become available.  This is because the user name that you entered has the highest privileges.  Notice that the mode on the status bar has changed.
