Design Toolbar

When in the Design mode, a vertical toolbar appears to the left of the badging program window.  Some tool buttons require a rectangle to be selected.  To select a rectangle, left click on it.  A focus rectangle will show around it.  You can also cycle forwards and backwards through all the rectangles in the design by using the TAB key or SHIFT-TAB key respectively; or clicking the   or  in the left toolbar button. When a rectangle is selected it will have a surrounding box with small squares on its perimeter.  When a rectangle is selected this way, the corners and sides can be dragged to change the rectangle’s shape.

Some tools require 2 or more rectangles to be selected and some are affected by the order of selection.  To select more than one rectangle, press and hold the Ctrl key while clicking the desired rectangles with the left mouse button.  If you click a rectangle which has already been selected, it will be deselected.  When multiple rectangles are selected they will appear like this:

Some buttons also act on the background.  To select the background, left click anywhere on the badge background.
