The database stores the specific information to be placed on each badge. This information includes the textual and photographic data. The database also includes additional information regarding the user or owner of the database.
The textual information is contained in one of several industry-standard formats. This facilitates the transfer of information into the ID badge software from other sources. The photographic information is stored in industry-standard PCX files, or one of several compression formats. If the optional signature feature is available, signatures are stored in special binary files. There is an additional file associated with each database that ties these various components together.
