When this operation is selected the dropdown box immediately below it will become available.  From this list you can select a database template which most closely relates to the database you wish to create.  When you have selected one, pressing Next> will allow you to explore the badge designs and data fields it provides.  A dialog similar to this will show:

This Wizard page allows you to review the badge designs the template provides.  It shows how many designs are includes and each one can be reviewed  by using the scroll bar.  The dimensions of each badge design are also shown.

It is important to note that you will be able to revise or delete any of the designs once the database is created.  Also new designs can be added.  Revising includes changing the size, logos, graphics, text position, font and size.

If none of the designs are close enough for your needs, you can press the <Back button and try another template.

If the designs are satisfactory then press Next> and the following Wizard page will display:

This displays the data fields predefined in the template.  Once the database is created you will be able to revise, delete and add to this list of fields, if necessary.  As before, you can press the <Back button to get back to the first page, if you want to review another template.

When you press Next> the final page of the Wizard appears and will look similar to this:

Here you can enter information about your organization.  This information can be displayed in the badge and some designs in the template may do so, therefore it is wise to complete this dialog with valid information.

Finally you need to give a name to your new badge database.  If you enter a name which is already in use, you will be informed of this when you press Finish and can enter an alternate name.  Otherwise your badge database will be created and the standard new badge data entry dialog will appear to allow you to enter the specifics of the first badge.  Subsequent badges can be entered by clicking the   button in the toolbar.
