Badge Size

When you select File, Template File Management, Build New Badge Design from the menu, a sub-menu presents you with a range of standard sizes to choose from along with a custom badge size option.

The standard badges cover the normal Credit Card, IBM and All Photo types, with each being capable of horizontal and vertical orientation.  The standard sizes are:

Credit Card 3.375”(86mm) x 2.125”(54mm)

IBM (Data) Card  3.25”(83mm) x 2.328”(59mm)

All Photo Card 2.75”(70mm) x 1.75”(44mm)

The custom size dialog allows a badge of any dimensions above 0.10”(2.5mm) square.  Custom badge sizes can be saved and reload from disk using the Load and Save buttons.

You will find a selection of previously stored custom badge file sizes for some more popular PVC card printers.  Most direct-to-PVC card printers cannot print right to the edges of the card.  As a result, if you select a standard card size, the printing operation might complain that the badge will not fit on the card.  If you use one of the previously stored custom sizes, these have been designed to fit inside the printable area of the printers.  You can of course, make your own custom size files for your printer.  The Page Info button on the print screen will tell you the actual printable area of your printer.
