When selected, the dialog presented when New Badge is selected will be completed with some or all the information from the current badge. This can increase the speed of data entry, especially when several of the fields contain the same information on each badge. As the Tab key is used to move between fields, the entire text will be highlighted, allowing immediate replacement of the presented data. Or the existing data can be retained by pressing the Tab key again, to move to the next field.
When this menu item in not checked, the fields in the New Badge dialog will be empty when New Badge is selected, unless they are designated as a time, date or timestamp field, in which case they will be set to the current date and time.
