Alignment Toolbox

When the alignment toolbox is visible is appears like this:

The tools are all associated with sizing and position one or more rectangles.  Some tools are only available if 2 or more rectangles are selected, and others 3 or more, as indicated below.

Center the selected rectangle(s) horizontally in the badge.  . The rectangle will be moved so that its vertical center line is on the badge’s vertical center line.  When more than one rectangle is selected  they will be moved as a group so that the vertical center line of the group is on the badge’s vertical center line.

Move the rectangle(s) flush with the left edge of the badge. When more than one rectangle is selected they will be moved as a group with the leftmost one flush with the badge’s left edge, thus maintaining their relative position.

Move the rectangle(s) flush with the right edge of the badge.  When more than one rectangle is selected they will be moved as a group with the rightmost one flush with the badge’s right edge, thus maintaining their relative position.

Center the selected rectangle(s) vertically in the badge. The rectangle will be moved so that its horizontal center line is on the badge’s horizontal center line.  When more than one rectangle is selected  they will be moved as a group so that the horizontal center line of the group is on the badge’s horizontal center line.

Move the rectangle(s) flush with the top edge of the badge. When more than one rectangle is selected they will be moved as a group with the topmost one flush with the badge’s top edge, thus maintaining their relative position.

Move the rectangle(s) flush with the bottom edge of the badge. When more than one rectangle is selected they will be moved as a group with the bottommost one flush with the badge’s bottom edge, thus maintaining their relative position.

Expand the rectangle(s) to fill the badge horizontally.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, contract them all horizontally so that their widths are the same as the narrowest one selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, expand them all horizontally so that their widths are the same as the widest one selected.

Expand the rectangle(s) to fill the badge vertically.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, contract them all vertically so that their heights are the same as the shortest one selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, expand them all vertically so that their heights are the same as the tallest one selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, move them so that the left edges align with the left edge of the first rectangle selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, move them so that their vertical center lines align with the vertical center line of the first rectangle selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, move them so that the right edges align with the right edge of the first rectangle selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, move them so that the top edges align with the top edge of the first rectangle selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, move them so that their horizontal center lines align with the horizontal center line of the first rectangle selected.

When 2 or more rectangles are selected, move them so that the bottom edges align with the bottom edge of the first rectangle selected.

When 3 or more rectangles are selected, move the rectangles between the leftmost and rightmost horizontally so that they are evenly spaces.  The end rectangles are not moved. If there is insufficient room to space the rectangles equally, no action will be taken and warning message will appear.

When 3 or more rectangles are selected, move the rectangles between the topmost and bottommost vertically so that they are evenly spaces.  The end rectangles are not moved. If there is insufficient room to space the rectangles equally, no action will be taken and warning message will appear.
